These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AllScience platform ("Service") operated by AllScience ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using AllScience, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- One person may not maintain more than one account.
2. Acceptable Use
AllScience is designed for research, writing, and publishing activities. You may use the Service for:
- Conducting and organizing research
- Writing papers, articles, books, and other scholarly or nonfiction works
- Managing sources and citations
- Publishing works to the AllScience public domain
You agree not to:
- Upload, publish, or distribute illegal, defamatory, or infringing content
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent research, fabricated data, or plagiarized content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content from the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
All content published on AllScience is subject to our AI Content Policy and Plagiarism Policy, which govern disclosure requirements, plagiarism thresholds, and enforcement procedures.
3. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or publish on AllScience, including research analyses, drafts, citations, and published works. By publishing content to the AllScience public domain, you grant AllScience a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content on the platform.
Our Platform
AllScience and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by AllScience and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The AllScience name, logo, and branding are trademarks of AllScience.
4. Subscription Terms
- Billing: Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection. Billing begins on the date you subscribe and recurs on the same day each billing period.
- Cancel anytime: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No refunds for partial months: We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice.
- Free tier: The free tier is available indefinitely with no obligation to upgrade.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- AllScience is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- AllScience does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- In no event shall AllScience be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
6. Termination
- By you: You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We recommend exporting your data before closing your account.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
